Terms of Use

Last updated: April 2026. By using Flight Mapper, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. Service description

Flight Mapper is a free, web-based tool for visualizing great circle routes, drawing range rings, and producing route briefings. It is provided as-is, without warranty, by Alexa Business Aviation Management ("Alexa Aviation", "we", "us") for educational, planning, and informational purposes only.

2. Aviation safety disclaimer

Flight Mapper is not a substitute for certified flight planning, navigation, or operational systems. The data shown — distances, headings, flight times, range coverage, airport information — is computed using simplified models and a public-domain airport database. It may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or outdated information.

Do not use Flight Mapper as the sole source for any of the following:

• Filing flight plans
• Computing fuel requirements
• Checking NOTAMs, weather, or airspace status
• Verifying runway dimensions, instrument approaches, or operational suitability of an airport
• Decisions affecting flight safety

Always validate every flight through your operator's approved planning system, certified charts (Jeppesen, LIDO, EAG, or equivalent), official AIPs, and current NOTAMs/weather. Pilots and operators bear sole responsibility for flight safety.

3. Acceptable use

You may use Flight Mapper for personal, professional, educational, or commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• Use the tool for any illegal activity or to violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service (e.g., automated scraping at high frequency, denial-of-service attacks)
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code beyond what's publicly visible in your browser
• Misrepresent Flight Mapper output as certified or official aviation data
• Resell or redistribute the service or its output without permission, except where the output is incidental to a larger work (e.g., embedding a route screenshot in an article)

4. Intellectual property

The Flight Mapper software, design, and original content are the intellectual property of Alexa Business Aviation Management. The "Alexa Aviation" name and logo are trademarks of Alexa Business Aviation Management.

The airport database is curated from multiple aviation data sources. Map tiles are provided by Esri, OpenStreetMap contributors, and CARTO under their respective licenses.

You may freely use the briefings and route images you generate for any non-commercial or commercial purpose. Please credit Flight Mapper or Alexa Aviation when reasonable, but it's not required.

5. No warranty

FLIGHT MAPPER IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. ALEXA AVIATION DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs, viruses, or other harmful components. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any information shown.

6. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALEXA AVIATION SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your use of or inability to use Flight Mapper
• Reliance on any information shown by Flight Mapper
• Any flight planning or operational decision based on Flight Mapper output
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data

This limitation applies even if Alexa Aviation has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In jurisdictions that do not allow such limitations, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

7. Third-party services

Flight Mapper relies on third-party services (Vercel hosting, Google Analytics, map tile providers, font and library CDNs). We are not responsible for the availability, content, or behavior of these services. Their respective terms of service and privacy policies apply.

8. Advertising

Flight Mapper may display advertisements via Google AdSense or similar networks. We do not endorse, vouch for, or take responsibility for any advertised product or service. Click-throughs are at your own discretion.

9. Modifications to the service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue Flight Mapper (or any feature of it) at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any consequence of such modifications.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of São Paulo, Brazil, except where mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
